A Psalm Of Hope

A psalm of Hope written following a period of recovery after, the pandemic, challenges faced by City Church, sale of Lindisfarne House and the loss of my dear mum.

Lord, I thank you for your overwhelming faithfulness when my journey seemed so difficult. You were my constant guide and companion directing my steps, protecting me and lifting me up when down. When I searched for answers and meaning to the demands of circumstances, it was you, Lord, that brought peace, reassurance and gentle reminders that your grace was more than enough.

Today, I may still not have answers, but your love and care greet me at every turn, your strength is promised in weakness and your voice resonates in the stillness bringing hope and comfort.

When things go right-I declare your goodness.

When things go wrong-I can and will still declare your goodness.

Jesus, you are always the Faithful One filling each day with promise and purpose. No desert place is without its oases and I can rest easy and know refreshment and security, nestling in Father’s hand.

I thank you Lord that you have placed me in your “glorious company” and we journey together. Your song of victory and grace keeps us moving , trusting as we rest and depend on You. Yes…you stretch us and grow our hearts keeping them soft and impressionable to the breath of your Spirit, and yes….you lift us up on eagles wings to soar on the currents of hope and faith, sighting fresh vistas, new perspectives from on high. Oh Lord our Lord, you are so good to us and we love and thank you so much. Amen

From Psalm 33 verse 22….”so let your love and steadfast kindness overshadow us continually-for we trust and we wait upon you.
