Who we are

We are City Church Worcester, a community seeking to live as Jesus shows us, cultivating hope and transformation in our city and beyond.

We are a church for all ages and backgrounds, a people seeking to be shaped by God’s story from creation to new creation and centred in Jesus. This story shows God’s loving commitment to transform the world and the people he has made to enjoy his goodness, wholeness and life.

We love our city and are committed to playing our part in seeing God’s hope come into people’s lives and bring life in its fullness.

We encourage everyone in the church to grow in knowing God, to become a wholehearted disciple of Jesus, guided by God’s Word and Spirit, as they live out their faith in daily life and holding out the good news to others.

We seek to foster a culture of belonging and care where people know their value and their place within God’s family and are confident to step into their part in God’s story.

Our values

Encountering God together and serving him in daily life

As a charismatic church, our worship to God is central to us personally and corporately. We take our devotion to God into our daily life and serve him through our work, volunteering and personal and family life.

Becoming more like Jesus together

We nurture discipleship and spiritual growth through prayer, Scripture, worship and church life. By following Jesus’ example and teachings, we learn to live out our faith generously and sacrificially in everyday life.

Building a community of belonging and care

We cultivate life-giving relationships marked by grace, hospitality and mutual support. Everyone has a place and purpose in the life of the church.

Serving and standing with our city

We actively participate in the life of our city — addressing practical needs, building partnerships, and showing God’s love through tangible acts of service and justice.

Carrying hope and transformation

We partner with others locally and globally to share the good news of Jesus and support communities pursuing renewal and justice.

We are a member of the Evangelical Alliance and part of the Synergy family of churches.
