Gift Day 2026

Sunday 1st November

Our annual Gift Day this year will be on Sunday 1st November. In this, we will be celebrating God's goodness, supporting his work and sharing in his justice.

This year we will be supporting both local and global missions, with whom we have connections, in a 50/50 split. We'd encourage you to seek God as to what he's calling you to give this year, in preparation for 1st November.

Here is more information about the local missions we will be supporting.

LightBox is a project run by local churches, sharing the light of Jesus by creating spaces for young people in schools & colleges, public spaces, churches & through events. They are creating a circuit of lights across the city so that young people know there are places for them and people to support them. Lightbox works with local churches, youth-facing agencies, the council and the police, seeking to bridge the gap between the church and young people so they have the opportunity to hear about Jesus, and discover their true identity in Him.

Worcester Street Pastors, trained volunteers from local churches, have operated in Worcester City Centre each Saturday night/Sunday morning since October 2010 – listening, caring and helping. We are part of a national team first pioneered in 2003. We are led by our local coordinator and we have support from local churches and community groups in partnership with the police, local council and other statutory agencies.

Lighthouse is a trusted hub for families in Worcester, offering compassionate support through high-quality childcare, inclusive youth provision and accessible community services. Lighthouse is rooted in connection, care and collaboration — creating a safe space where children can flourish, parents feel supported, and the wider community can come together.

Good News for Everyone! seeks to introduce people to the Lord Jesus Christ by placing, presenting and/or distributing Scriptures, in all walks of life. They place Bibles everywhere they are invited…football clubs, schools, prisons, hospitals, hotels and more and look for opportunities to share the Word of God on a one-to-one basis.

With our support, every family can flourish. Home for Good: Worcestershire encourages Christians in the county to foster or adopt, they help churches support foster and adoptive families in their congregation, and also run regular support groups in cooperation with local fostering and adoption services. They also run an annual ‘stockings’ project to give a Christmas stocking, containing small gifts, to every recent care-leaver in the county so they know someone is thinking of them at Christmas.

The Bridge Counselling Service based at the Angel Centre, provides a professional voluntary counselling service to the local community. It is rooted in the principles of love, faith and acceptance and supports people from all backgrounds and beliefs,  engaging with the whole person – physical, emotional and spiritual.

Cedar Tree, based at the Angel Centre provides counselling support to women and men affected by pregnancy loss or unplanned pregnancy. They support anyone who has experienced loss through a miscarriage or stillbirth, or is struggling with unplanned pregnancy or following an abortion.

Based in Worcester, The Good Soil Trust is a Christian charity offering supported housing for adults wanting to move forward from the challenges that addiction, homelessness, poor mental health or crime have caused in their lives.

Worcester Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. Worcester Foodbank opened in June 2012 to provide people in crisis with emergency 3-day food parcels and offer a listening ear and signposting to further support. They rely on volunteers with around 150 local people generously donating their time.

Growbaby is run by the Vineyard church and provides new and secondhand baby items free of charge. The distribution point is at Ronkswood community centre on the second Saturday of every month. The service is available to all and those who can afford it are invited to make a donation.
